New Clients

On this page, you’ll find all of the information you need to prepare for your first visit to Vitality IV. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at (401) 443-4007.

What To Expect

One of the benefits of getting IV Infusion therapy at Vitality IV is the access you have to our team of registered nurses. At your first appointment, we’ll review your medical history and conduct a brief baseline lab assessment to ensure you get the best IV for your needs.

If you were referred to Vitality IV by your physician, we will request that labs be sent to us for review. If your labs are recent and include the information we need, we can use these labs in place of a baseline lab assessment.

We recommend planning for 15-20 minutes of extra time for your initial consultation and lab work. For specific information on what you should prepare for your first visit, check out our FAQ page.

What to Bring To Your Appointment

In order to serve you efficiently, please complete the forms below prior to your visit and bring them with you to your appointment.

Forms:

Additional information:

  • Your referring physician’s name, address, and phone number, if applicable
  • A current list of medications you take including any over the counter meds and/or vitamins and supplements

The Day of Your Appointment

There are several things you can do to prepare for your IV treatment, including:

  • Hydrate. You’ll enjoy a more comfortable and therapeutic session if you’re properly hydrated. Depending on which IV you choose, some contain minerals and vitamins that dehydrate your body at the cellular level. Your body will respond to the IV nutrition more effectively if you arrive hydrated. Hydration also preps your veins before your treatment. If you’ve had difficulty getting IVs in the past, you can purchase the vein prep kit in our store.
  • Eat a light meal. Having a snack or small meal before your appointment to prevent low blood sugar or other issues that may crop up due to an empty stomach. You’re welcome to bring a snack and water bottle to your appointment. No worries if you forget. We offer complimentary snacks and water at Vitality IV.
  • Get comfortable. Wear a comfortable shirt to your appointment. Short sleeves tops are preferable because they allow our nurses easy access to your arm. If possible, bring a sweater wrap or jacket (or any button-up or zip-up sweatshirt) to your appointment as certain IV fluids cause your body to feel cold.
  • Enjoy your visit. Most traditional IV Drips are over an hour long. Your appointment is a moment for you to relax and destress. Feel free to enjoy your time with a book, magazine, music with headphones, or anything else that is quiet and calming. For maximum relaxation and reset, we also have add-on therapies available to enhance your IV Drip session.
